Artist Statement:

The purpose of this project was to recreate one of Cristiana Couciero's posters. We were told to find an old photo and make it the main focus of the project, I immediately thought to use one of my granfathers old photos that he took during world war ii, it was convenient because my sister who's in art school had all the picture already scanned and on a flash drive. i chose one of the clearer images and found an inspiration image that would work well. I made everything on photoshop, first having to cut out the excat image I wanted from the photo, then finding and adjusting and old paper looking background and then adding in my circles and word and finally cutting out pieces of old handwriting and print  to complete everything.It was really tricky getting all the colours to blend together and also making the circles look the way I wanted to. Something I thought turned out well would be how precisely the image was cut out and also the way the words looked on the page.
