Artist statement

The purpose of this project was to create a word or message that would evoke the viewers out of a material of your choice that ties along with the word/words. For mine I chose to write the words "Burnt Out" using burnt matches as my material. I had many projects due in school and couldnt think of an idea for this until I thought of how I was feeling and that I was "burnt out" because i had so much work piled up from other classes so i took a box of matches burned then all and wrote out my word on a few sheets of looseleaf paper along with some school supplies around the words to show the true meaning.  I thought this was quite a clever idea and  liked the way the words turned out but it would be better if I had a better quality camera to take the pictures with because they turned out a bit blurry.
