Batman Returns:
Gotham city
- Gotham city is always has a dark & gloomy atmosphere.
- More like a caricature of a city.
- Many wealthy people and extravagent settings.
- Always a thin blanket of snow over eveything and light fog/mist.
- Many pops of colour throughout, mostly bright red.
batman / Bruce Wayne:
- Batman carries a dark setting and atmosphere where ever he goes, along with dark blue undertones and deep, intense music.
-Bruce wayne has a much lighter warmer tone than Batman with a more pinky, normal, wealthy bachelor feel.
- His house is a mix of his 2 very different personalities with both warm and dark tones creating contrast and mystery.
selina kyle / catwoman
- Selina Kyle carried a very innocent boring / normal vibe to her with the use of very neutral colour in how she dress and her job.
- The all pink apartment including neon pink lights and stuffed animals protrayed her as childish and inocent.
- Once transformed into catwoman, she became a whole new person, now with a dark energy around her with the use of blacks, deep reds and blues
- No longer innocent, she now protrayed a provocative and intense character.
the Penguin / oswald cobblepot:
- Penguin always carries an unsettling and gross vibe through the way he moves and his personal hygene along with his sickly looking face..
- Dark blue and brown and grey tones add to the villian effect.
- Green and turquoise tones in the sewers and around Penguin along with the texture of the ripples in the watter add to the uneasy feelings.
- Circus themes, bright primary colours noticible in some scenes.
